I enjoyed being exposed to the Web's "new thing". I had heard about Web 2.0 but had no time (& only some interest, actually) to experiment with it. However, I think that some of the "27 things" were more relevant to current and near-future library uses than were others. A few seemed really more focused on "at home" uses. I printed off (yes, I'm one of the many truly print-based) a bunch of articles/"instructions" on several topics & will re-read them at my leisure & file the best of them in my "information in the future" file.
And generally, I, and a lot of KCLS staff, found that this whole thing took WAY more of our time than it seemingly was supposed to. If we were actually expected to do this stuff on our minimal off desk time at work, then it was a failure in planning. Some of the tasks were significantly time consuming, especially for those of us less tech-savvy. Most of us have legitimate branch & patron-focused things to do during our off-desk time. I know some people were willing to do some of the tasks at home, but most of us weren't. I still have 2 tasks left - both of them heavy time users & of little actual interest to me. Whether I actually get them done or not is still to be seen!
