What in the world? Laundromat day? Yep, and here goes:
This is the way we wash our clothes
Wash our clothes, wash our clothes
This is the way we wash our clothes
So early in the morning.
This is the way we dry our clothes
Dry the clothes, dry our clothes
This is the way we dry our clothes
So early in the morning.
This is the way we fold our clothes
Fold clothes, fold our clothes
This is the way we fold our clothes
So early in the morning.
Washing Clothes--fingerplay
Put the clothes in the washer.
(pretend to put clothes in)
The water trickles in.
(wiggle fingers, move downward)
The clothes go round and round.
(move arms in back & forth circular motion)
Then they spin, spin, spin.
(move finger quickly in circular motion)
Now put them in the dryer.
(pretend to put in dryer)
Where they tumble around.
(roll hands over each other)
They tumble, tumble, tumble
With hardly any sound.
(put finger to lips, whisper this line)
Mary wore her red dress, red dress, red dress
Mary wore her red dress, all day long!
Rub-a-dub-dub
3 men in a tub
And who do you think they be?
The butcher, the baker
The candlestick maker!
Turn ‘em out, knaves all three!
